 | Friday brought the long awaited “Sports Day”. On Thurday Anna found out how disorganized the day was and the prospect of having 280 over excited children to control in the middle of a field was not greatly desirable. Therefore Anna managed to organize the day overnight, into sections around the field which proved very effective... |
There were some of the usual classic sports day activities such as the ball & bucket race and the sack race and some new “African” games. “Fire on the mountain” was one such game which I am not convinced would pass UK health and safety laws. The game consisted of two rings of children, one inside the other, running until a whistle was blown. When the whistle was blown the children had to find their partner and jump on their back, normally the child doing the jumping would be much larger than the child being jumped on!!
Overall the day was a great success with all the children having a great time and only one injury!! Unbelievable really.

Not quite the same really. This looks like much more fun. |
