Life in the Internet room is getting busier and busier. Much has been done regarding finances and discussing with UAC management the best systems and equipment to purchase.
Tom and Eylon have been to Doula to purchase the necessary equipment and since then have spent most of their time wiring all the plug sockets as they were not pre-made! They are intending to get the wiring for the 16 computers completed asap. Here are some photos showing the progress that has been made the last month!

After much persuasion Anna had the excitement of visiting the local doctor! There is no separate waiting room so all other patients get to hear what is wrong with you as well! Anyway, she has been given 4 different forms of medication so hopefully that will do the trick! She even had to buy her own 'medical journal' (exercise book) as the doctors dont keep the patient's notes.

Anna's Medicine

Life at school is going well and Anna has introduced a new merit system which will be in use as of Monday! Hopefully the positive feedback will help motivate the students.

Also, Sports Day is nearly upon UAC school so there has been much practise of many sporting activities!!

Youth Club has been going well and attendance is increasing since advertising in local schools. This week was drama games.

The biggest excitment this week was when Danielle discovered the biggest spider EVER in her room. We all went to help her remove it but quickly departed to find a helpful UAC local as it was a little too big for us to cope with. In fact, we couldnt see Matt for dust! The water containers are 1.5 litres in size (just to give you an idea of scale!!)

Local children come to visit us all the time as they know we have lots of water bottles that they can use to get water from the well.

I hope the work you are doing is to the 16th edition wiring Regulations!
It looks really good. You must feel you are achieving a lot. Will there be some technical backup when you leave?

I wonder how long it will be before one of them finds out that if they create holes for their feet in the sacks that they can run and win every time! Just like the thumb over the egg in the egg and spoon race!! :roll

There are wiring regulations?? :)

I'm not sure they know about these here. I shall have to take some photos of the wiring in other parts of UAC. I think ours has been the best any Cameroonian has ever seen! :)

Oh and not lead windows but Iron bars... not quite so appealing.
